We, Mastador Gracious Guardians, pledge to not participate in the industrialization of living beings. As a Responsible Breeder we practice and provide the highest Professional Breeding Standards. We are always directly involved in the reproductive process, homing and care-giving of each puppy and will conduct the business aspects with the greatest amount of Professionalism and trustworthiness.

Mastador Gracious Guardians (the Breeder) believes in a “whole life” approach to our Breeding Program. Inclusiveness, equality and graciousness in the arrangements and in the needs of the whole litter, their parents, the sustainability of all that encompasses the future of the Mastador, and the pup’s future Families (the Purchaser) is our goal. The “whole life” approach includes a good perspective of all the precious lives and years surrounding the capricious event (the Litter).  Sometimes, adjustments, adaptations, and changes in costs and policies will be made, as needed for the protection and propagation of our companions and the Mastador as a future Breed.

We maintain a quantity limited Breeding Program to prevent communicable canine diseases and to help assure all puppies in each Litter will have forever homes.

REFUND–As there are so many things that can happen in life (including to Breeders) most of the burden for adjusting to “acts of nature” will be the responsibility of Mastador Gracious Guardians. In the event there is a catastrophic loss, which means there would be no Mastador puppies available for 1 year, we would refund a pre-paid Reservation.

APPLICATION–Caring about future homes for every puppy in the litter is of interest to all involved, so Mastador Gracious Guardians takes extra time to provide further assurance for each puppy  through our Family Planning Options.  APPLY BY EMAIL is found on Option 2, Announcement List and Option 3, Public Notification pages.

VACCINATIONS–WORMERS—From our research, Veterinarians world-wide have discovered each puppy’s immune system becomes under active sometime between 8 through 12 wks of age. Ideally, it is better the litter remain in its familiar, disease free, environment until almost 12 wks when it is sure their immune system is stable.   In the U.S., 8 wks is the norm for breeders and customers. So to compensate, Veterinarians decided to give 3 sets of shots, 3 wks apart., starting at 6 wks of age. This makes the first 2 sets non-functional, unnecessary, making them sick, adding stress on their liver and kidneys, and still leaves pup susceptible to the very diseases they are being vaccinated for.  Plus, most of your Veterinarians will likely want to give their own set of puppy shots (even when our Veterinarian Health Certificate is provided).

Because Mastador Gracious Guardians is currently canine disease free, we are able to safely eliminate the extra sets of vaccines; providing one set of vaccinations before departure (usually between 7-7 ½ wks of age). Vaccinating a week before departure allows your puppy time to cope with side-effects.

MGG recommends alternative methods and products be given to your dogs.  Only lifestyle required pup/dog vaccination injections (except for legality reasons with Rabies, daycare, etc) should be administered and should not be needed more that 1-2 times in the life of a dog,  Vaccinations should be spread out and not administered in a group.   Pharmaceuticals in general, should be kept to a minimum throughout your Mastador’s lifetime.   At least 2-4 weeks is required between vaccinations or pharmaceuticals to reduce the stress on their organs and immune system… checking for side-effects and going on “poop patrol”.

Molly’s Herbal wormers are given as soon as the weaning starts and continues until departure.  Pure DE Powder is applied externally, as needed and where needed, for fleas, ticks, flies, ants, etc.  We have used these two natural products since 2005, having great success without side-effects, allergies, nor damage to any organs.

SOCIALIZATION–TRAINING—Our Puppies have safe, trained adult handling and an appropriate amount of  socialization to various travel noises, carrier, vehicles, people, farm animals and dogs. Puppies are whelped in our house and go outdoors for recreation.  Potty training is on going to different mediums (soil, grass, mulch, shredded paper, pads) and even Momma dog helps us out.

CERTIFIED REGISTRATION PAPERS—Mastador Gracious Guardians offers Registrations Papers through Designer Breed Registry.  We also test each puppy to verify the beloved Mastador Temperament and lifestyle versatility.

HEALTH–FAQ—Because all large, x-large and giant breeds physically grow slower… it means they have a longer period of time when injuries from aggressive playing, jumping and/or inappropriate activities, duration of activities, types of activities for their individual age and during growth spurts may cause structural damage. Congenital Hip or Knee Dysplasia can be identified soon after birth. We have not seen nor experienced any hereditary ACL, hip or knee dysplasia, nor other orthopedic anomalies on our farm nor have any been reported from our Mastador Families.

“Stomach Torsion” or “Detached Stomach” has not been seen in the Mastador Hybrid (F1) and is not expected in our F2, F3, etc.  A Veterinarian should be able to physically feel along the rib cage during your Mastador’s visits to detect this condition.  Often, Veterinarians will offer to surgically prevent this possible condition, during spaying/neutering.  We recommend examinations by your trusted Veterinarian, as the condition would present itself around the 1st year as Mastadors usually finish growing from 18-24 months.

“Hormone Hounds” — The less invasive Sterilization methods is preferred, resulting in the removal of only the reproductive hormones, instead of spaying and neutering.  From our research with the available studies, Veterinarians, and our own experiences….There is no significant difference in weight, growth, orthopedic, nor comparable diseases when a dog or Mastador is spayed/neutered anytime after they have reached puberty.   When considering a dog’s whole-life and the consequences from being a “hormone hound” and living with one—we recommend “fixing” any dog after puberty who is not involved in a long-term, responsible breeding program.

BREEDING–This purchase is for non-breeding puppy(s) and guarantees cover only non-breeding/bred puppy/dog.  A separate Breeding Agreement is available for those wanting to be long-term, responsible Breeders of the Official Mastador.

LIFE-TIME–each Mastador puppy has a life-time guarantee of MGG providing or working with the Purchaser, in a sober manner, with a whole-life perspective about any health or training information, lifestyle adjustments or re-homing in extreme cases.

RE-HOMING–Behavior, which buyer deems intolerable and irreversible within 12 months of purchase, must show Breeder proof of sufficient socialization, obedience classes, and other structured training methods before rehoming. Breeder must be given written rehoming address/contact info and reason(at least 30 days prior).

CONGENITAL DEFECTS–From D.O.B., a 3 year puppy replacement or reimbursement of sale amount for this puppy if has a congenital defect that is life threatening or has died from same.

MGG has guarantees throughout its different Options and Programs, which are specific to each, and can be found at the corresponding pages.
